The fonts on the website look grainy - why?
You need to download these fonts and install them (they're free!). Simply unzip the zip file and extract the fonts into the Fonts directory which is located on your computer at this address: C:\WINDOWS\Fonts
What is mp3+g?
Mp3+g is a format used to store karaoke tracks so they take up less space. In the case of our download service, an mp3+g karaoke track is delivered in a zip file. Each zip file contains two files – an .mp3 music file and a .cdg file containing the on-screen lyrics/graphics. In order to play the karaoke track on your computer, you may need to extract the files out of the zip file and save them on your hard drive. Some software players can play zipped mp3+g files, we recommend Siglos Karaoke Player as a good quality professional software programme.
What is a zip file?
A zip file is a method of compressing multiple files so they take up less space. You need a programme such as QuickZip (it's free) or WinZip to create zip files and also to extract files from within zip files. Many computers will already be able to open zip files without the need to download new programmes.
What bitrate are your mp3 files?
The standard bitrate for music files is 128kbps. All Zoom tracks are 192kbps (higher than standard quality) and Sunfly tracks are supplied in various bitrates from 128kbps to 320kbps. The higher the bitrate, the larger the size of the file.
How will I know if I can play your mp3+g files?
Simple – download the free sample track of God Save The Queen here. Once you have saved this file onto your hard drive, extract the files out of the zip file using QuickZip or WinZip. Save the files (.mp3 and .cdg) in the same folder on your hard drive. You now need a software programme to play the files. For users who only require a very basic player, we recommend the free Karaoke Builder Player which you can download here. Install this player onto your computer. You are now ready to play the karaoke track. Launch Karaoke Builder Player and open the .cdg file from your hard drive. You should see the on-screen lyrics and hear the music. If you don’t, then something is wrong. Please contact us before purchasing any credits.
For professional/serious users we recommend the Siglos Karaoke Player/Recorder - with Siglos you do not need to unzip the mp3+g files.
Is your service legal?
Yes, absolutely. Every mp3+g track that is sold has a royalty paid to the Mechanical Copyright Protection Society. This is then distributed to the record companies, artists and songwriters who own the rights to the songs. A royalty is also paid to the manufacturer of the karaoke backing track. We never sell tracks without the full endorsement of the track manufacturer.
What happens when I buy an mp3+g track?
In order to buy a karaoke track you first need to register and then purchase some credits. Each individual song costs 1 Credit. Credits are available to buy in quantities of 2 to 200. The more credits you buy, the cheaper each credit costs. Once you have purchased credits, simply find the karaoke songs you want and download them. You will find your download links in Your Account.

What restrictions are there on the number of times I can download a track?
You can download each track up to 2 times.
How long do my credits remain valid for?
Your credits will remain valid for as long as we are in business, but they are guaranteed to be valid for a minimum of 1 Year. This means that if we go out of business, you can claim back the value of any unused credits from your credit card company or bank.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards and PayPal.

Can I burn the mp3+g tracks to a CD to play on my karaoke machine?
No - under the terms of our licence you cannot convert the tracks to other formats. Our service is designed to supply digital karaoke tracks for use on computers and hard drive based systems. If you want to convert the tracks into a CD+G disc, then we’d prefer it if you didn’t use the service.
What happens if my PC crashes and I can’t access the download links?
Your download links are safely stored in Your Account. You can log-in at any time and retrieve your download links. If you have any problems with anything – Contact Us.
What does Karaoke.cc do with my personal details/e-mail address?
Nothing. Your details will never be passed to any other organisation.
I want to buy a large number of tracks, can you offer a discount?
The more credits you buy, the cheaper they become.
